In short
- Inboxa uses only the cookies and storage it needs to work: to keep you signed in, save your work, keep connections secure and count free use fairly.
- Two things are optional and stay off until you say yes: counting how the site is used (our own count, and Google Analytics), and Google's sign-in suggestion.
- We do not use advertising cookies, and no tracker follows you to other sites.
- Change your choice any time with Cookie settings, at the foot of every page and in Settings.
1.What cookies and browser storage are
A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to keep and send back to it. Browser storage (local storage, session storage and the browser's cache) works the same way but stays in your browser: nothing in it is sent with every visit.
This policy covers inboxa.in and the Inboxa app, run by Tejviq Technology, New Delhi, India. It sits beside our Privacy Policy, which says what we do with your information.
2.Essential: always on
These make Inboxa work. Without them you could not sign in, keep your work or connect Instagram, so they cannot be turned off.
Cookies Inboxa sets, each readable only by our server, never by scripts on the page:
- A device cookie, which recognises your browser so free use is counted fairly. It is set only when you make your free post without signing in, and lasts 365 days.
- An Instagram connection cookie, which makes sure the browser that starts "Connect Instagram" is the one that finishes it. It lasts 10 minutes and is deleted as soon as you are connected.
- A staff sign-in cookie, which keeps Inboxa's own staff signed in to our internal dashboard. It lasts 7 days and is never set for customers.
What your browser keeps for the app:
- Your sign-in, so you stay signed in.
- Your work in progress: your companies, drafts, Iba's conversations and your settings. While you are signed in it is also kept with your account, so you find the same work on every device. Logging out removes it from that browser once your account has all of it.
- Your choices: light or dark, the language, your cookie choice, and whether Iba has said hello.
- A record of the agreements you tick and the photos you upload before you have an account, kept until your account can keep it.
- A partner's code, if you followed a partner's link: remembered for 60 days, so an account you make is counted as theirs.
- Small notes that last a moment: where to bring you back after signing in with Google, and that a page has just reloaded for an update.
- The files that let Remove background and Erase work on your own device, downloaded the first time you use them and kept for next time.
Our pages load their fonts from Google Fonts, which sees your IP address in order to send them. Payments open Razorpay's checkout only when you choose to pay, and Razorpay may use its own cookies to keep the payment secure, under Razorpay's privacy policy.
3.Analytics: off until you say yes
With your yes, Inboxa counts how the site is used: which pages are opened and which features are used, so we can see what works and fix what does not. It is counted in two ways.
- Our own count, kept on our servers. Your browser keeps a random number for the tab you are in, so a visit is counted once; it is deleted when you close the tab. If you are signed in and "Help improve Inboxa" is on in Settings, what you do is linked to your account; with it off, it is kept with the tab's random number only.
- Google Analytics, which Inboxa loads through Google Tag Manager. It sets Google's own cookies on inboxa.in, named _ga and _ga_ followed by an ID, which last up to 2 years, and Google receives the pages you open, your browser and device type and an approximate location from your IP address, under Google's privacy policy. Before it loads, we tell Google that nothing may be used for advertising, and we never give it your name, email address or account.
Say no and neither runs: Google Tag Manager is not loaded, nothing is counted from your browser, and the tab's number is deleted. If you said yes and change your mind, Google is told at once and its cookies are deleted from your browser.
4.Google sign-in suggestion: off until you say yes
With your yes, our home page lets Google offer "Continue as…" with the Google account already signed in to your browser, so you can sign in with one tap. The offer comes from a Google script, and Google may set its own cookie to remember whether you closed it, under Google's privacy policy.
Say no and Google's script is not loaded. You can still sign in with Google by pressing "Log in".
5.Advertising
Inboxa does not use advertising cookies, and no tracker follows you to other sites. If that ever changes, it will be a choice you can refuse, here and in Cookie settings, before anything is set.
6.Your choices
The first time you visit, we ask before anything optional runs. Change your answer any time with Cookie settings at the foot of every page, or in Settings in the app.
Your choice is kept in your browser, and we ask again a year after you accept everything, or six months after you turn anything off. If you have an Inboxa account, each choice is also kept with it, as a record of your consent: the answer for each switch, its words, whether you used Accept all, Reject all or Cookie settings, and the date and time. A choice made before you sign in is kept once you do.
You can also clear or block cookies and site data in your browser's settings. Blocking the essential ones stops signing in, saving your work and connecting Instagram from working. Clearing your browser's data for Inboxa removes everything it kept in that browser, your cookie choice included, so we ask again.
7.Changes
When this policy changes, its date above changes. If we add something optional, we ask you again before it runs.
